On June 24th 2013 City of Sydney Council passed a motion to call upon police to evict Occupy Sydney from Martin Place after 560 days of occupation. Occupy has been providing 24 hour assistance for the homeless from a makeshift camp in Martin Place. When I visited Occupy Sydney last Thursday evening the client I spoke to on the left informed me that Occupy has made a big difference to their wellbeing and street survival.
