Occupy Sydney to be Evicted after 560 days by Sydney Council

On June 24th 2013 City of Sydney Council passed a motion to call upon police to evict Occupy Sydney from Martin Place after 560 days of occupation. Occupy has been providing 24 hour assistance for the homeless from a makeshift camp in Martin Place. It has evolved from the earlier Occupy movement which demanded more equality and power for the 99%. Photos of early Occupy Sydney can be seen

20th June 2013 homeless people approach Occupy Sydney stall in Martin Place for assistance.
When I visited Occupy Sydney last Thursday evening the client I spoke to on the left informed me that Occupy has made a big difference to their wellbeing and street survival. I've never heard the destitute give ringing endorsements of charity businesses such as Salvos et al so they must be doing something right. Contact them at http://www.occupy-sydney.org/ The full resolution raised by Councillor Forster (sister of Conservative leader Tony Abbot) can be read here
